Our Griffin Doublet is a bold Renaissance statement piece crafted in richly woven brocade featuring regal griffins — symbols of strength, guardianship, and sovereignty. Designed to command attention at faire, on stage, or in formal historical settings, this doublet blends structure with opulence.
The body is constructed with horizontal paneled detailing that enhances the silhouette while showcasing the woven griffin motif -Taking hours of hand and machine sewing to construct and line up. The front closes with adjustable leather straps and metal buckles for both function and striking visual impact. A structured collar frames the neckline, while three individual shoulder tabs (not layered) create a sculptural Renaissance profile.
The Tabs is cut in a contrasting metallic silk fabric for movement and contrast, and the doublet pairs beautifully with a linen shirt or chemise.
